Gladstone U3A is part of an International movement aimed at providing opportunities for people in the third age (3A) of their life to continue learning and socialising. We are not highly academic and do not issue degrees, even though we have the word University in our name.
U3A was formed in France in 1973 to offer intellectually stimulating learning for personal enjoyment and wellbeing for retired people.
In 2021, a branch of the U3A Network was established in Gladstone to encourage active minds and bodies in the older generation.
U3A’s informal groups participate in activities and courses run by members.
Our courses are planned term by term. In order to participate, you must be a financial member.
6 and 12 month memberships are available.
